Class Runs March 25 – August 7 and Meets Tuesday and Thursday Evenings

SOWELA Technical Community College’s Office of Workforce Solutions will offer Emergency Medical Training (EMT) beginning Tuesday, March 25, at the SOWELA Lamar Salter site, 15014 Lake Charles Highway, Leesville, LA 71446. Class meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 5-10 p.m. through August 7.
Students learn the emergency medical service system, the role and responsibilities of the Emergency Medical Technician, anatomy, physiology, patient assessment, airway management and basic cardiac life support and more. Training is $900 for a limited time, a $1,350 savings. Students will also hear from local employers about available job opportunities.
