Adult Education

It's Never Too Late to Graduate

In partnership with the Literacy Council of SWLA and Central Louisiana Technical Community College, adult education classes are offered at SOWELA. These classes prepare individuals to take the Hi-SET™ exam, formerly known as the GED. Classes are offered year-round and cover career exploration, adult basic education, and college transition.

Double Your Credit

Earn college credit while taking HiSET courses, including up to six college credit hours with WorkReadyU classes. Enroll in your adult education class and then apply for admission to SOWELA.

All four of SOWELA's locations offer adult education and literacy courses. Those interested can contact one of the SOWELA locations below to start the registration process.
