SOWELA Technical Community College can help you on the path to academic success. We offer associate degrees, technical diplomas, and certificates in more than 20 program areas. Some of these programs are job-related, designed to provide the skills you need to enter the job market immediately upon graduation. Other programs are designed to provide the first two years of study toward a bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university. The certificate programs provide a condensed program in a particular field of study and usually can be completed in one or two semesters of study.

SOWELA is a comprehensive technical community college offering programs of instruction generally extending no more than two years beyond the high school level. The College provides residents of the area with opportunities to pursue many educational goals. In addition, the College offers a strong counseling program and other services to students, all designed to assist students in making decisions regarding occupational, educational, and personal goals.

An education at SOWELA opens up intellectual worlds that you will explore your whole life. Our graduates have gone on to successful careers in industry, business, and the arts. Some have even started their own businesses using the foundation of an education they received at SOWELA.

What makes SOWELA different is the stories of our students' success. When you ask a student "Why SOWELA?” they nearly always tell their personal stories of how the College provided opportunity, relevant programs, and faculty who cared enough to make sure they succeeded.

Make SOWELA your story.
