The TC Energy Pipeline Academy is a regional learning center for students pursuing a career in the oil and gas field, one of Louisiana’s largest workforce industries. The pipeline training academy is the first of its kind in Louisiana and only the third of its kind in the U.S. The indoor/outdoor pipeline training equipment is used to familiarize and train students with real-life work environments and scenarios, such as testing, compliance, security, monitoring and repair.

In alignment with industry standards, coursework for the pipeline academy covers the following crafts:

  • Pipeline Technician
  • Measurement Technician
  • Corrosion Technician
  • Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
  • Mechanical Technician
  • Maintenance Technician

The Pipeline Training Academy is made possible by a donation of $1 million from TC Energy in 2019. TC Energy is an industry leader in operating and constructing energy infrastructure in North America. They currently manage more than 57,500 miles of natural gas pipeline and 3,000 miles of oil pipeline in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Pipeline Technician Training
