In this eight-week certification program, students learn how to install and repair both high- and low-pressure pipe systems used in manufacturing, in the generation of electricity, and in the heating and cooling of buildings. The training prepares students to pursue construction jobs as entry-level pipefitters or helpers.
SOWELA’s course follows NCCER Levels 1 & 2 curriculum. Successful completers receive NCCER credentials for both levels of pipefitting.
The cost is $1,600. Scholarships and financial aid are available for those that qualify.
SOWELA has partnered with Bechtel to offer a paid apprenticeship program for completers of the College’s pipefitting class. Once the pipefitting class begins, students will have the opportunity to apply to the Bechtel Apprenticeship Program. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
