Summer Camps-DeRidder

The Summer Youth Camps being offered in DeRidder include:

CULINARY CAMPS

  • Culinary Camp – Held June 4 – 8 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. An annual favorite for young cooks entering 5th through 8thgrades. Campers will cook and prepare breakfast and lunch. Cost is $200.
  • Culinary Camp – Held June 18 – 22 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. An annual favorite for young cooks entering 5th through 8thgrades. Campers will cook and prepare breakfast and lunch. Cost is $200.
  • Kids in the Kitchen – Held June 11 – 15 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. A fun, age-appropriate, and educational camp for younger cooks entering 1st through 4th grades. Campers will cook and prepare breakfast and lunch. Cost is $200.
  • CANCELLED … Kids in the Kitchen – Held June 25 – 29 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. A fun, age-appropriate, and educational camp for younger cooks entering 1st through 4th grades. Campers will cook and prepare breakfast and lunch. Cost is $200.
  • À La Carte – Held July 9 – 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students ages 13-16 will learn how a restaurant works from the front to the back of the house. Cost is $200.
  • Grandparent and Me Camp – Held July 16 – 18 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Create special memories between grandparents and grandkids with this camp geared toward kids entering 1st through 8th grades and their grandparents. Cost is $120 and includes breakfast and lunch.

BUSINESS CAMP

  • CANCELLED … Business Camp – Held June 25 – July 2 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Campers ages 12 – 15 years old will increase technology skills and practice in developing a voiceover PowerPoint presentation, develop team-building and customer service skills, enhance research techniques in idea generation, network with entrepreneurs and business professionals in business banking, investing, and real estate, participate in discussions with the Small Business Administration and the City of Lake Charles Business Licensing and Tax Division, and experience college life through a SOWELA campus tour and introductions to business faculty. Cost is $250.
