SOWELA to Host Informational Session

Community Invited to Explore Degree Programs Eligible for a $500 Tuition Discount


SOWELA Technical Community College is hosting an Informational Session on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Sycamore Student Center. The event provides prospective students with the chance to learn about Aviation Maintenance Technology, Chemical Laboratory Technology, Forest Technology, Machine Tool Technology, and Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Technology programs. Attendees will receive details about the $500 tuition discount available to new students enrolling in these programs, as well as financial aid and scholarship opportunities. The event is free and open to the public.

The Aviation Maintenance program is a federally regulated Aviation Training School providing practical application of aircraft maintenance training. Students in the Chemical Laboratory Technology program are prepared for immediate employment in a petrochemical laboratory environment. In Forest Technology, students learn to produce, protect, and manage woodland resources. Machine Tool Technology combines machinist and millwright training in one cutting-edge degree, and Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Technology offers students a practical shop experience to prepare them for servicing and maintaining a variety of automobiles.
