Students and Alumni are Invited to Meet One-on-One with Representatives from a Variety of Industries

SOWELA Technical Community College will host a Fall Career Fair on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 9 a.m. to Noon in the Sycamore Student Center at the Main Campus in Lake Charles, La. Current students and alums of the College are welcome to attend. More than 75 organizations from around the region will participate, with all employers actively hiring.
“The Career Fair is a great opportunity for our current students and alumni to learn more about career fields, job prospects, and network with potential employers. We invite any SOWELA alumni and students seeking employment to attend,” said Joseph W. Lavergne, Director of Recruitment and Career Services.
Career Fair participants include Bolton Ford, CBS Lake Charles, LyondellBasell, Mark Dodge, Sasol, Venture Global, WestRock, and many more. Various organizations from different employment sectors will attend, including hospitality; hospitals and health care organizations; local, state and federal agencies; industrial companies; financial services; and many more.
Space is available for employers that would like to participate. Vendors receive lunch and a hospitality room. The deadline to register is Friday, October 11.
