Individuals Can Choose from ServSafe or OSHA 30 Training

SOWELA Technical Community College’s Office of Workforce Solutions will offer two short-term training options this summer at SOWELA Morgan Smith in Jennings, LA. Classes include ServSafe and OSHA 30. All classes are open to the public.
ServSafe Manager: This training covers food safety guidelines and leads to a ServSafe Manager Certification. The cost is $175, which includes the price of the ServSafe exam. The class meets Saturday, June 15, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
OSHA 30 Training: This five-day course helps employees recognize, avoid, abate and prevent health and safety hazards in the workplace. The program also provides information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Held Monday, July 8, through Thursday, July 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., successful completers earn an OSHA 30 certification. The cost is $50.
