(Lake Charles, Louisiana – December 5, 2022)

SOWELA Technical Community College’s Office of Workforce Solutions is offering two new holiday events this Christmas season. Both are open to the public and will take place at SOWELA’s Main Campus in Lake Charles. Registration is required.

On Saturday, December 17, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, families can enjoy a delicious brunch prepared by SOWELA faculty chefs. A professional photographer will be available to take photos of guests with Santa Claus. Brunch tickets are $12 per adult and $5 for children. Children 2 and under are free. Pictures are $10 each, and guests will receive digital copies via email after the event. To register, visit our Brunch with Santa page.

Take the stress out of the holidays with SOWELA’s Holiday Meal Prep event on Tuesday, December 20, from 5:30-9:00 PM. Make up to three take-home side dishes in 4-inch casserole pans, including green bean casserole, rice and cornbread stuffing and macaroni and cheese. The cost is $20/side and includes all ingredients and take-home pans. To reserve your spot, visit our Holiday Meal Prep page.
