SOWELA Offering Two Manufacturing Trainings in September on Cohesive Teams and Continuous Improvement


Trainings Provided in Collaboration with Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Louisiana

Lake Charles, Louisiana – August 25, 2023

SOWELA Technical Community College in collaboration with the Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Louisiana (MEP of LA) will host two training opportunities in September. Sessions cover cohesive teams and continuous improvement and are geared specifically for the manufacturing industry.

The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team will take place on Thursday, Sept. 7, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Attendees will learn the behaviors that enable you to become a better teammate, including Building Trust, Mastering Conflict, Achieving Commitment, Embracing Accountability and Focus on Results. The cost is $160 and includes lunch, an assessment report and individualized workbook.

On Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, SOWELA will host the LEAN and Continuous Improvement Concepts Workshop. Training concepts include how to increase the productivity of the organization. Industry experts lead this interactive workshop and will cover visual management, analyzing process flow, impact of standardized work, value stream concepts and more. The cost is $125 and includes lunch.
