Community Invited to Explore Programs in Practical Nursing (LPN), Sterile Processing and Surgical Technology

SOWELA Morgan Smith in Jennings, LA will host a Healthcare Informational Session on Tuesday, December 10, at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The event provides prospective students with the chance to meet faculty and staff and learn about Practical Nursing (LPN), Sterile Processing, and Surgical Technology programs; financial aid and scholarship opportunities; the related job market, Spring 2024 enrollment details, and more. The event is free and open to the public.
The Practical Nursing program prepares students to be Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). It consists of both classroom instruction and supervised clinical activities in accredited hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare agencies. Sterile Processing is a two-semester certificate program that equips students for employment in the medical field as sterile processors. Surgical Technology prepares students for entry-level employment as Surgical Technologists serving as members of the surgical team.
