Attendees Learn About Available Scholarships and Financial Aid, Academic Programs and How to Apply

SOWELA Technical Community College Morgan Smith will host a Healthcare Programs Informational Session and its first-ever open house on Monday, March 27. The open house will begin at 5:00 PM with the healthcare-focused session starting at 5:30 PM. Both events will end at 6:30 PM and are open to the public. Prospective students and their families can learn more about SOWELA’s Jennings location, including available programs close to home, scholarship and financial aid options, how to register and take a tour.
“We’re excited to offer these events to our community,” said SOWELA Jennings Site Coordinator Adrienne Abel. “Our talented instructors will showcase their respective programs and visitors will be able to tour our facility. Interested individuals will also have a chance to visit with staff who can answer questions regarding class schedules, financial aid and other enrollment scenarios. We look forward to forging future connections with the community.”
Healthcare programs offered at the Jennings location include Practical Nursing (LPN), Sterile Processing and Surgical Technology. Notably, the Surgical Technology program offers students state-of-the-art training technology in preparation for clinicals, including a laproscopic simulator.
SOWELA Morgan Smith also offers Business Administration on campus and online, Industrial Electrical Technology and Industrial Instrumentation.
