On Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., SOWELA Technical Community College will host a Career Fair for students and alumni of the College in the Sycamore Student Center. More than 50 organizations will be on hand for this year’s fair, along with four-year university representatives and several branches of the military.
“This is an excellent opportunity for current and former students of SOWELA to meet a variety of local employers — possibly their future employer — and learn more about the positions available in Southwest Louisiana and beyond,” said the Career Fair Coordinator and Director of Recruitment and Career Planning, Joseph Lavergne.
Organizations that will be represented include Advance Corrosion Technologies, Billy Navarre Automotive, Calcasieu Parish School Board, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital, Coushatta Casino Resort, Entergy, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Golden Nugget Lake Charles, ISC Constructors, JD Bank, Jennings American Legion Hospital, Lake Charles LNG, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, L’Auberge Casino Resort, Mark Dodge Automotive, PPG, Sabine State Bank, Sam’s Club, Sasol North America, and Westlake Chemical, among others.
