Approximately 150 Students will Receive Their Diplomas on Friday, December 17th
(Lake Charles, Louisiana – December 9, 2021)
SOWELA Technical Community College will host its Fall commencement ceremony on Friday, December 17, at 6:30 PM in the Lake Charles Civic Center Coliseum. Approximately 150 students are eligible to graduate and receive degrees for Fall 2021.
Louisiana Secretary of State R. Kyle Ardoin is the commencement speaker. Ms. Vivian Barrilleaux will speak on behalf of the alumni network. She is a 2020 SOWELA Graphic Art graduate and currently a graphic designer with AdSource Outdoor. Graduation also includes the Washington-Marion High School JROTC conducting a Presentation of Colors and Ms. Latricia Thierry singing the National Anthem.
