SOWELA Announces “Next Start” Initiative For New and Current Students

Deadline to Register for Next Start Is Wednesday, October 4, 2023

(Lake Charles, Louisiana – September 13, 2023)

SOWELA is now registering currently enrolled and prospective students in its “Next Start” initiative. “Next Start” allows current students to add another course to their Fall 2023 schedule or for new students to sign up for Fall classes. Enrollment for the Next Start option is open now and will end on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

Next Start classes cover topics in accounting, criminal justice, history, English, business and more and last eight weeks. Interested students can visit our Next Start page for more information or to sign up. Next Start classes are available online, on campus or in a combination hybrid format.

SOWELA offers a variety of scholarship and grant programs to students enrolling in Next Start classes with 67% of students receiving financial aid.

SOWELA’s programs include more than 30 technical and academic options, such as Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Culinary Arts, Criminal Justice, Nursing, Accounting Technology and Process Technology.
