Congratulations to all SOWELA Technical Community College students who have earned a place on the College’s Chancellor's and Dean’s Lists for their academic achievements. This honor is reserved for the highest achieving students who exemplify excellence in the attainment of their educational goals. At the close of each semester, these lists of students will be published in the local newspapers and on the College’s website below.
To qualify for the Chancellor's List, a student must complete a minimum of 12 or more credit hours excluding transitional courses and maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher with no letter grade lower than a "C." Grades earned in transitional classes are excluded from the GPA for the Chancellor's List.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must complete a minimum of 12 or more credit hours excluding transitional courses and maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49. Grades earned in transitional classes are excluded from the GPA for the Dean’s List.
