Professional Development for Small and Emerging Construction Businesses
LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA – February 6, 2020
SOWELA’s Office of Workforce Solutions is offering a new 10-week course for residential contractors though the Louisiana Contractors Accreditation Institute (LCAI). Class starts on Monday, February 17, and features sessions twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 – 8 p.m. The seminar will be offered in interactive, distance-learning sessions broadcast live to the SOWELA Regional Training Center, 3749 Senator J. Bennett Johnston Ave., Lake Charles, LA 70616.
Residential topics covered include wood framing construction; site work, demolition, and construction; foundations, formwork and retaining walls; interior and exterior finishes; roofs and roof structures; concrete and masonry; print reading; types of construction and special construction; special equipment; safety codes.
