Designed to meet the growing demand for skilled pilots, the program offers accessible, high-quality training for individuals pursuing careers in aviation. Students will progress from Private Pilot License (PPL) training to advanced certifications, including Instrument Rating (IR) and Commercial Pilot License (CPL).

Program Overview

SOWELA's Flight School provides comprehensive pilot training that combines classroom instruction with hands-on flight experience. Students will build the knowledge, skills, and flight hours required to meet FAA certification standards and enter the aviation workforce with confidence.

The program is designed for both beginners and those looking to advance their aviation credentials.

Training Pathway

  • Private Pilot License (PPL) (Launching Fall 2026)
    Build foundational flight skills, navigation knowledge, and safety procedures required to fly independently.
  • Instrument Rating (IR)
    Enhance your ability to fly in a wider range of weather conditions using advanced navigation and instrument techniques.
  • Commercial Pilot License (CPL) (Anticipated 2027)
    Prepare for a professional aviation career with advanced flight training and certification required for paid pilot positions.

The Flight School is projected to open in Fall 2026, with initial training focused on the Private Pilot License. Expanded training opportunities, including Commercial Pilot certification, are planned for 2027.
