In partnership with Venture Global, SOWELA is offering its Introduction to Construction course tuition free to Calcasieu and Cameron parish residents. Interested individuals must attend the informational session on Thursday, July 16, to participate. The session will be held from 6-7 p.m. at SOWELA Regional Training Center, 3749 Sen. J. Bennett Johnston Ave., Lake Charles, LA 70615.
The Introduction to Construction program provides a strong foundation for individuals interested in entering the industrial and construction workforce. This program combines NCCER Core and forklift training to equip students with essential knowledge, skills, and safety awareness required for entry-level positions in the industrial field.
Designed for those beginning their career path, this program prepares students to pursue further technical training or step directly into the workforce with confidence.
