Hospitality is the fastest-growing industry in Louisiana, and SOWELA's Hospitality Management concentration prepares students to be at the forefront of its growth. Students are prepared to work in event management and marketing, guest services, hotel and lodging, casinos or food service.
The Hospitality Concentration is part of SOWELA's Business Administration program.
Curriculum covers accounting, sanitation and safety, food and beverage operations, customer service, hospitality management and resort operations. Students also complete an internship experience in the tourism industry.
SOWELA's Business Administration program offers students a well-rounded business education that prepares them for entry-level administration or supervisory positions. In addition to Hospitality courses, students receive instruction in key business areas, such as marketing, management and business ethics.
