Brisco Receives SOWELA’s Customer Service Star Award

Myra Brisco, Administrative Coordinator at SOWELA Technical Community College in Jennings, LA, received the Customer Service Star Award for the Fall 2017 semester at the Annual Employee Appreciation Christmas Luncheon. SOWELA’s Customer Service Committee selects award winners from nominations submitted by faculty and staff of the College.

Those nominating Brisco stated,

“she always gives her all to each individual student that comes through the door of SOWELA – Morgan Smith. Myra is often the first point of contact and most students at this location know her by name and know they can come to her with questions that arise while attending college. She works hard and helps each student to ensure they are admitted, awarded financial aid, covered in full payment wise, and that they have their textbooks. It is not uncommon for her to bring a student to the attention of the scholarship committee because she knows of a specific need that a student may have that might prevent them from attending SOWELA.”

“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Myra Brisco for 11 years. Myra is a valuable member of the SOWELA Morgan Smith team. Her compassion for the students and dedication to the College is unsurpassed. This award is well deserved by Mrs. Brisco,”
