The financial aid appeals committee recently met and made a decision regarding your appeal for federal financial aid. To view the decision, log in to LOLA, click on the financial aid tab, then financial aid status. Here you can view your academic progress status.

Please read the instructions below regarding your specific academic status.

Granted with an Academic Plan: Your appeal for financial aid was approved with the stipulation that you adhere to an academic plan. The first step is to visit your Academic Advisor to request a degree audit. The degree audit will indicate the classes you have completed and will specify the classes that are remaining in order for you to graduate in your program of studies. Once you have this degree audit, you will need to email onestop@sowela.edu to request an appointment with a financial aid counselor so that an academic plan can be created. Your financial aid cannot be processed until your academic plan is created and in place. KEEP A COPY OF YOUR PLAN. In order to remain eligible for federal financial aid, you will be required to adhere to the plan each semester until your graduate or reach the universal Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements of an overall 2.0 grade point average and 67% completion rate.

Denied: Your appeal for financial aid has been denied. In order to reestablish your federal financial aid eligibility, you must attend school while paying on your own until you attain the overall Satisfactory Academic Progress standards of a 67% completion rate and a 2.0 grade point average.
