SOWELA PLACEMENT TESTING

COMPASS Placement tests are given on the following days by appointment only:

Monday to Thursday – 9am to 3:30pm
Fridays – 9am to 12pm

First Tuesday of the month at 5:00pm (please call at least two hours before coming)

You will be tested on writing skills, reading skills, and pre-algebra. The test may be taken two times only. If your scores are low you will take transitional classes.

The testing center is located in the Administration Building room 109.

Test fees are $20 (or $5 per section).
Fees must be paid at the Business Office in the Administration Building before testing begins.

Verification requests, including transcript requests, must be completed and signed by the student
and submitted to the Office of Student Affairs. Forms can be faxed, mailed, or hand delivered.
Submission of incomplete forms may delay processing. The forms must be physically signed.

* Please note, name change requests must be accompanied by official documentation
of the name change, i.e. copy marriage license.
