The Department of Liberal Studies and Education is the most diverse instructional unit on campus. Its mission is to educate individuals to reach their goals both intellectually and occupationally.

Areas of interest include

ENGLISH
English courses help students develop communication skills necessary to academic achievement and occupational success. Skills in organization and comprehension are enhanced, while skills in creativity are developed.

HISTORY /SOCIAL SCIENCES
Students learn about the world in order to learn about themselves. The aspects of culture, social, and hereditary factors are examined in an effort to demonstrate how they affect the individual’s behavior throughout life.

MATH/NATURAL SCIENCES
Math skills such as use of equations, problem solving, and application principles are taught. Biology enlightens student about the environment and their place in it.

THE ASSOCIATE DEGREE OF GENERAL STUDIES offers students the potential to transfer credits to a four year university in the pursuit of a baccalaureate degree. This degree provides students with marketable skills essential to the modern workplace.
