The SOWELA Foundation
The SOWELA Foundation was incorporated in 1991 as an independent entity charged with furthering the development and expansion of the College. The Foundation, a private, non-profit corporation organized under a tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) status, secures funds – above and beyond state appropriations – to further enhance the efforts of the College. Funds raised and managed by the Foundation may support a wide variety of endeavors from individual scholarships to campus enhancements. The Foundation’s Board of Directors consists of community leaders from Southwest Louisiana.
SOWELA Technical Community College offers you an opportunity to create a brighter future for generations of college students. Your support of the Foundation is an investment to prepare our students to meet future workforce demands. Your investment in the SOWELA Foundation will ensure a future for educational achievement and economic development through the college for many years to come.
FOUNDATION MISSION STATEMENT
