SOWELA Technical Community College held its 2014 commencement ceremony Tuesday night in the Lake Charles Civic Center.
SOWELA's Practical Nursing Class 139 was honored in a pinning ceremony held at the First Baptist Church of Westlake.
On May 8 and 9, eleven students at the SOWELA Morgan Smith site in Jennings competed at the 2014 Louisiana Post-secondary Skills USA Conference.
To serve the students for the summer semester, the SOWELA Parking Tag and ID office will be open in the Mechanical Hangar, Room 6006, on the following dates and times.
- May 5-29 & June 2-12 (NOTE: The office will be closed on Fridays.)

Graduation Candidates for 2013-2014, please mark your calendar and plan to attend Grad Fest. You will be able to complete the check-out process, pick up your cap & gown and take pictures with friends and faculty. This festival will be held in the Maintenance Hangar and adjacent Administration Building parking lot from noon to 2:00 PM.
